Common faults of centrifugal pumps can generally be divided into two categories: hydraulic faults and mechanical faults. If a fault occurs, it should be checked and eliminated in time, and the machine should not be allowed to work "sickly". The troubleshooting procedure is: clarify the phenomenon - → analyze the cause - → eliminate it.

Reasons for insufficient water output or interruption of centrifugal pump

Common faults of centrifugal pumps can generally be divided into two categories: hydraulic faults and mechanical faults. If a fault occurs, it should be checked and eliminated in time, and the machine should not be allowed to work "sickly". The troubleshooting procedure is: clarify the phenomenon - → analyze the cause - → eliminate it.

When the centrifugal pump is running, the water output of the water pump is insufficient.

  reason:

1. The suction pipe is not submerged deep enough and the pump is sucked;

2. Air leakage and water leakage at the joints of the suction pipe;

3. There are aquatic plants and debris in the suction pipe or impeller;

4. The water delivery height is too high;

5. The sealing packing is leaking;

6. The water lift is too high;

7. The speed is not enough;

8. The water suction pipe is suddenly blocked by debris;

9. Being choked by inhaled debris or damaged;

10. The nozzle sucks in a lot of air

  Method of exclusion:

1. Increase the length of the suction pipe and place a wooden board on the water to prevent air from entering the water pipe.

2. Tighten the connecting screws or replace the rubber pads

3. Remove aquatic plants and debris

4. Reduce the water delivery height or close the gate valve on the pressure water pipe

5. Tighten the gland or replace the packing

6. Adjust the water suction head or close the gate valve

7. Adjust the tightness of the transmission belt. When the centrifugal pump is running, the water pump suddenly stops discharging water.

8. Clear the blockage after shutdown

9. After shutdown, disassemble the water pump, remove debris or replace the impeller.

10. Deepen the submersion depth of the suction pipe

In short, there are many reasons for water pump failure. Careful and detailed analysis is required and do not be busy dismantling parts. We should follow the principle of "external first, then internal" to check, find out the cause, and "prescribe the right medicine" to eliminate the fault.
